COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

Senate Bill No. 3111

     Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 


     SECTION 1.  In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Mississippi State Board of Contractors, for the purpose of allocating funds to the Mississippi Housing Institute for education and professional development as authorized in House Bill No. 796, 2004 Regular Session, for said Board, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2005............................................$    100,000.00.

     SECTION 2.  In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Mississippi State Oil and Gas Board, for the purpose of developing computer software for reports and permitting forms to be submitted via the Internet for said Board, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2005.........$    108,000.00.

     SECTION 3.  In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Mississippi State Board of Dental Examiners, for the purpose of hiring a Licensing Investigator IV position and providing funding for increased travel expenses due to the development of a national clinical licensure examination by the Board, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2005............

     SECTION 4.  In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Mississippi Public Service Commission, for the purpose of funding salary increases for two court reporters as authorized in Senate Bill No. 2647, 2004 Regular Session, unused leave payments for three positions, Workers' Compensation and Unemployment Insurance premium payments for said Commission, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2005.....

     SECTION 5.  In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance, for the purpose of providing supplemental funding to the Commission pursuant to Senate Bill No. 2892, 2004 Regular Session, for all major object expenditure categories, excluding "Salaries, Wages and Fringe Benefits", for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2005.....................................$     55,000.00.

     SECTION 6.  In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Health Care Expendable Fund created in Section 43-13-407, Mississippi Code of 1972, to defray the expenses of the Mississippi State Department of Health for the purpose of providing funds to the Qualified Health Centers, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2005

     SECTION 7.  The money herein appropriated shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the proper fund or funds as set forth in this act, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.

     SECTION 8.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.


     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

 


     AN ACT MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF SPECIAL FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF THE MISSISSIPPI STATE BOARD OF CONTRACTORS, MISSISSIPPI STATE OIL AND GAS BOARD, MISSISSIPPI STATE BOARD OF DENTAL EXAMINERS, THE MISSISSIPPI PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, THE MISSISSIPPI COMMISSION ON JUDICIAL PERFORMANCE AND THE MISSISSIPPI STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005.
