Senate Resolution 8

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING TINA AULTMAN FOR HER TENACITY AND COMMITMENT TO FULFILLING HER DREAM OF OBTAINING A COLLEGE EDUCATION.

     WHEREAS, Tina Aultman, a student at Gulf Coast Community College, attained a perfect 4.0 GPA in her first semester; and

     WHEREAS, her story is remarkable because she dropped out of school in the third grade; and

     WHEREAS, overcoming numerous obstacles, she earned her GED; and

     WHEREAS, Tina Aultman is the proud mother of two children, a son and a daughter; and

     WHEREAS, in addition to fulfilling her duties as a mother, Tina Aultman works at International House of Pancakes and attends community college; and

     WHEREAS, in her relentless pursuit of making a better life for her and her children, she has shown great determination and tenacity in fulfilling her dream of obtaining a college education; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Senate to recognize and commend the noteworthy efforts of the citizens of the State of Mississippi who strive to better themselves and their communities:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend Tina Aultman for her remarkable tenacity and commitment to fulfilling her dream of obtaining a college education.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to Tina Aultman.
