AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO ROSE YVONNE COSTILOW OF CARROLL COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Rose Yvonne Costilow of Carroll County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of her conviction of the crime of obtaining a controlled substance by misrepresentation and fraud in 1996 in Leflore County, Mississippi, and who was sentenced to serve three (3) years in the custody of the Department of Corrections.  Her sentence was suspended and she was placed on probation for two (2) years.  Her probation was terminated on October 13, 1997.  Since that time she has conducted herself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
