AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO DEBORAH JEAN POWELL A/K/A DEBBIE A. POWELL A/K/A DEBBIE GOLEBIEWSKI OF LEE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Deborah Jean Powell A/K/A Debbie A. Powell A/K/A Debbie Golebiewski of Lee County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of her conviction of the crime of embezzlement in Pontotoc County, Mississippi, in 1982, and who was sentenced to serve ten (10) years in the custody of the Department of Corrections.  Her sentence was suspended and she was placed on probation for two (2) years.  Her probation was terminated on March 29, 1984.  Since that time, she has conducted herself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
