AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE PASCAGOULA RIVER IN GEORGE AND JACKSON COUNTIES AS A STATE SCENIC STREAM AND TO INCLUDE THE STREAM IN THE STATE SCENIC STREAMS STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Pascagoula River from the confluence of the Leaf and Chickasawhay Rivers in George County to its mouth in Jackson County, which was designated as eligible for nomination under Section 51-4-17, is designated as a state scenic stream and is included in the Mississippi Scenic Streams Stewardship Program.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage
