AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 37-9-49, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH MAKES IT UNLAWFUL FOR SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENTS TO MAKE CERTAIN DEDUCTIONS FROM THE SALARIES OF CERTIFICATED SCHOOL EMPLOYEES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Section 37-9-49, Mississippi Code of 1972, which makes it unlawful for school superintendents to make certain deductions from the salaries of certificated school employees, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2005.
