A RESOLUTION TO CREATE A NEW HOUSE RULE TO PROVIDE THAT CONFERENCE REPORTS SHALL BE READ IN FULL IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE VOTE ON ADOPTION OF THE CONFERENCE REPORT UPON THE DEMAND OF ANY MEMBER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That the 2004-2008 Rules of the House are amended by creating a new rule to read as follows:
"___. When a conference report is under consideration by the House, the conference report shall be read in full immediately before the vote on adoption of the conference report upon the demand of any member. This rule shall not be suspended except upon a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the members present and voting."
