House Concurrent Resolution 119

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HOUSE AND SENATE TO ADJOURN FOR MORE THAN THREE DAYS, SPECIFYING CERTAIN CONDITIONS UPON WHICH THE HOUSE AND SENATE WILL RECONVENE AFTER THAT ADJOURNMENT, AND FIXING THE DATE OF SINE DIE ADJOURNMENT OF THE 2005 REGULAR SESSION OF THE LEGISLATURE.

     BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That the House of Representatives and the Senate each may stand adjourned for a period of more than three (3) days from such date and time as determined by each respective house, and that if before 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2005, conference reports have been filed with the Clerk of the House and Secretary of the Senate on all appropriation bills that have been suspended from the deadlines in Joint Rule No. 40 by House Concurrent Resolution No. 111, 2005 Regular Session, then the House and Senate shall reconvene at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2005, for the purpose of adopting those conference reports; otherwise, the House and Senate shall not reconvene.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the 2005 Regular Session of the Mississippi Legislature shall stand adjourned Sine Die at 12:00 midnight, Tuesday, April 19, 2005.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution supersedes the provision of House Concurrent Resolution No. 111, 2005 Regular Session, that sets the date of Sine Die adjournment.
