AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF SOUTH MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Harrison County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute funds in the amount of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) that is to be paid over a three-year period, to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, to support the Humane Society of South Mississippi in its effort to build a modern facility to house animals.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
