House Bill 1753

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO SOUP KITCHENS SERVICING THE COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Jackson County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute funds, in an amount not to exceed Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) annually, to any soup kitchen within Jackson County that provides free meals to the needy.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
