House Bill 1748

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TALLAHATCHIE COUNTY TO USE EXCESS PROCEEDS GENERATED BY THE EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SERVICE CHARGE TO PURCHASE UP TO EIGHT AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATORS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Tallahatchie County, in its discretion, may expend funds generated under the provisions of Section 19-5-313 in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) which are in excess of the amount of funds determined by the board of supervisors that is needed for the operation and services of E-911 services for the county for the purpose of purchasing up to eight (8) automatic external defibrillators.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
