AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF FORREST COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO CERTAIN ORGANIZATIONS DURING THE CALENDAR YEAR 2005; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Forrest County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute to the following organizations, during the calendar year 2005, from any available funds of the county, amounts not to exceed the following:

(a)  Association for Retarded Citizens$ 2,531.00

(b)  Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeast

Mississippi...... $ 1,463.00

(c)  Boy Scouts of America$ 2,531.00

(d)  Gulf Pine Girl Scout Council$ 2,531.00

(e)  Hattiesburg Downtown Association, Inc.$24,000.00

          (f)  Neighborhood Education Enhancement

Development Services (N.E.E.D.S.).... $ 1,463.00

(g)  Salvation Army... $ 3,178.00

(h)  Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club... $ 1,463.00

(i)  Pearl River Valley Opportunity..... $ 8,438.00

          (j)  Pinebelt Association for Community

Enhancement (PACE)$10,500.00

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
