House Bill 1313

AN ACT TO NAME A CERTAIN RODEO AND LIVESTOCK ARENA, LOCATED IN JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI, AND UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE MISSISSIPPI FAIR COMMISSION, THE "DANIEL KIRKWOOD FORDICE BUILDING;" AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The building under the jurisdiction of the Mississippi Fair Commission, that is located in Jackson, Mississippi, and used primarily as an arena for rodeo and livestock expositions and related events, shall be named the Daniel Kirkwood Fordice Building.  The Mississippi Fair Commission shall prepare of have prepared a distinctive plaque, to be placed in a prominent place within the Daniel Kirkwood Fordice Building, that states the background, accomplishments and service to the state of Governor Daniel Kirkwood Fordice.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
