AN ACT TO CREATE A NEW SECTION TO BE CODIFIED AS SECTION 51-4-21.3, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO DESIGNATE THE PEARL RIVER IN MARION AND JEFFERSON DAVIS COUNTIES AS ELIGIBLE FOR NOMINATION TO THE STATE SCENIC STREAMS STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The following shall be codified as Section 51-4-21.3, Mississippi Code of 1972:
51-4-21.3. In accordance with Section 51-4-7, the Pearl River in Marion and Jefferson Davis Counties is designated as eligible for nomination to the State Scenic Streams Stewardship Program.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
