AN ACT TO DESIGNATE AND INCLUDE IN THE STATE SCENIC STREAMS STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE PASCAGOULA RIVER IN GEORGE AND JACKSON COUNTIES, WHICH HAS BEEN PREVIOUSLY DESIGNATED FOR NOMINATION TO SUCH PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  In accordance with Section 51-4-7, the Pascagoula River from the confluence of the Chickasawhay and Leaf Rivers in George County to its mouth in Jackson County, which was designated as eligible for nomination to the State Scenic Streams Stewardship Program under Section 51-4-23.5, is designated as a state scenic stream and is included in the State Scenic Streams Stewardship Program.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
