AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF BILOXI TO CONTRIBUTE A CERTAIN SUM TO THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF SOUTH MISSISSIPPI FOR THE PURPOSE OF AIDING IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW CENTER IN HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Biloxi, Mississippi, in their discretion, may contribute a sum not to exceed Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) in installments over a period of five (5) years to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, a nonprofit organization, to aid in the construction of a new center in Harrison County, Mississippi.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
