TO THE MISSISSIPPI STATE SENATE:

GOVERNOR'S VETO MESSAGE FOR SENATE BILL 2441

I am returning Senate Bill 2441: "AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 71-7-3, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO CLARIFY THAT EMPLOYERS COMPLIANCE WITH THE DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING STATUTES IS VOLUNTARY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES” without my approval and assign the following reasons for my veto.

On April 28, 2004, I signed into law House Bill 916, which is identical to Senate Bill 2441. Therefore, there is no need for Senate Bill 2441.
