A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL ATTACHÉ SHOW CHOIR FOR ITS OUTSTANDING COMPETITION SEASON AND THE SENIOR CLASS OF ATTACHÉ FOR BEING THE FIRST CLASS IN THE HISTORY OF ATTACHÉ, TO GO UNDEFEATED FOR THEIR ENTIRE HIGH SCHOOL CAREER AND TO WIN GRAND CHAMPION HONORS AT EVERY COMPETITION IN WHICH THEY COMPETED.

     WHEREAS, the renowned Clinton High School Attaché Show Choir won Grand Champion honors in every competition in which they competed in 2004; and

      WHEREAS, the Attaché Show Choir was named Grand Champion of the Benton Community High School "Touch of Class" competition held in Van Horne, Iowa, on February 14, 2004.  Attaché also received Best Vocals, Best Choreography, Most Creative Show, and Best Male (Trey Finch) and Female (Jan Jeffcoat) Soloists.  Dexter Bishop was named the outstanding performer from Attaché; and

      WHEREAS, Attaché was named Grand Champion of the Homewood High School "South Central Classic" competition held in Homewood, Alabama, on February 21, 2004.  Attaché also received Best Vocals, Best Choreography and Best Overall Effect; and

      WHEREAS, Attaché was named Grand Champion of the Mixed Show Choir at the MIC Choral Competition held at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 20, 2004.  Attaché also received Best Vocals and Best Choreography; and

      WHEREAS, Attaché was honored to be selected as the host choir for the Show Choir Nationals Competition held March 27, 2004, at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee; and

     WHEREAS, the members of the 2004 Senior Class of Attaché are undefeated having earned Grand Champion honors at every competition at which they competed in their sophomore, junior and senior years; and

     WHEREAS, the 2004 Senior Class of Attaché is the first class in the stellar history of Attaché to go undefeated during their high school career; and

     WHEREAS, the talented senior singer/dancers of Attaché are:  Judson Aikens, Dexter Bishop, Megan Carmean, Kristen Chapman, Justin Dalton, Niki Durr, Trey Finch, Zuri Kelly, Cory Lambert, Eric May, Molly Moak, Claire Richardson, and Sydney Sanders.  The accomplished senior musicians of the Attaché Pit are:  Cameron Alt, Brian Ottis, and Bryce Yelverton.  The dependable, hardworking senior members of the Attaché Crew are:  Shelley Chambers, Adam Haver, Brad McHann, Austin Moody, Joey Rhodes, Wesley Robbins, Alan Thomason, and Jacquelyn Wallace; and

     WHEREAS, since 1992, Attaché has been under the dedicated and energetic direction of David Fehr winning a total of 36 Grand Championships out of 41 competitions; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Senate to recognize and commend the noteworthy accomplishments of the citizens of Mississippi and it is with great pride that we recognize and commend the accomplishments of the students of this nationally and internationally known show choir which has brought honor to Clinton High School, the City of Clinton, and the State of Mississippi:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Clinton High School Attaché Show Choir for its outstanding 2004 Competition season and the senior members of Attaché for their remarkable record of earning Grand Champion honors at every competition in which they competed.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be presented to the Clinton High School Attaché Show Choir.
