Senate Concurrent Resolution 576

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE CHARITABLE SERVICE OF THE 2003 OKTIBBEHA COUNTY HOSPITAL "CATCH ME CARING" PROGRAM EMPLOYEES.

     WHEREAS, Oktibbeha County Hospital has instituted a "Catch Me Caring" program whereby employees volunteer their time to participate in community events, address school classes, take blood pressure and related service; and

     WHEREAS, this program rewards employees who receive numerous compliments from their patients, are recognized for acts of kindness by their co-workers or are nominated for Employee of the Quarter; and

     WHEREAS, these volunteers are given credit for time worked at various events throughout the year, as well as for employee recognitions and projects; the Catch Me Caring program recognizes employees who either are outstanding at their jobs or are excellent representatives of the Oktibbeha County Hospital in the community, or a combination of both; and

     WHEREAS, the following is a list of the 2003 Oktibbeha County Hospital Catch Me Caring Employees:

     Dana Brooks, L&D; Terri Blake, L&D; Lisa Conner, EMS; Carrie Couvillion, 3rd floor; Hazel English, Environmental Services; Martha Flucher, Director of Nursing; Flora Graise, Outpatient/Endoscopy; Paula Hamilton, L&D; Pat Jones, 4th floor; Keena Kaiser, Nursing Educator; Gail Kelly, Central Sterile; Diane Luke, 3-11 Nursing Supervisor; Angela McClelland, 3rd floor; Alice Neal, Environmental Services; Elzena Neal,

     Purchasing; Kennedy Neal, Environmental Services;

     Marian Sue Roberson, Performance Improvement;

     Renee Taylor, Diabetes Education; Karen Tiffin, Maternal/Child Services; Kay Whites, Wellness Connection; and

     WHEREAS, it is with pride that we recognize the volunteer spirit of these dedicated employees whose public service is a model for all Mississippians:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend the charitable service of the 2003 Oktibbeha County Hospital "Catch Me Caring" program participants, and extend to them the best wishes of the Legislature for their future service projects.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be forwarded to the Administrator of Oktibbeha County Hospital and be made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
