AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE TUNICA COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, INC., IN SUCH AMOUNT AND UPON SUCH TERMS AS THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS CONSIDERS TO BE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE COUNTY; TO AUTHORIZE TUNICA COUNTY TO PROVIDE OTHER SUPPORT FOR SUCH FOUNDATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Tunica County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, from any available funds of the county, to provide funding for the Tunica County Economic Development Foundation, Inc., (the "foundation"), in such amount and upon such terms as the board of supervisors considers to be in the best interest of Tunica County.  In addition to providing funding to the foundation, the Board of Supervisors of Tunica County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to provide such other support to the foundation as it considers appropriate and in the best interest of the citizens of Tunica County, including, but not limited to, providing personnel, equipment and other support and services to the foundation.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
