AN ACT TO REQUIRE A PERSON PRESENTING A DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD TO ANOTHER PERSON FOR THE PURCHASE OF GOODS OR SERVICES TO SHOW A PHOTO ID; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Any person who physically presents a debit or credit card to another person at the point of sale for the purpose of purchasing goods or services is required to show the seller or seller's agent a valid driver's license with photograph or some other photographic identification verifying the purchaser's identity.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2004.
