AN ACT TO CREATE CODE SECTION 51-4-21.3, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE PASCAGOULA RIVER IN GEORGE AND JACKSON COUNTIES AS ELIGIBLE FOR NOMINATION TO THE STATE SCENIC STREAMS STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:SECTION 1.  The following shall be codified as Section 51-4-21.3, Mississippi Code of 1972:

     51-4-21.3.  In accordance with Section 51-4-7, the Pascagoula River from the confluence of the Chickasawhay and Leaf Rivers in George County to its mouth in Jackson County is designated as eligible for nomination to the state Scenic Streams Stewardship Program.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
