AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN PORTION OF BLACK CREEK IN LAMAR, FORREST, PERRY, STONE, GEORGE AND JACKSON COUNTIES, AS A STATE SCENIC STREAM AND TO INCLUDE THE STREAM IN THE STATE SCENIC STREAMS STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Black Creek in Lamar, Forrest, Perry, Stone, George and Jackson Counties from Mississippi Highway 589 in Lamar County to its confluence with the Pascagoula River, which was designated as eligible for nomination under Section 51-4-17, is designated as a state scenic stream and is included in the Mississippi Scenic Streams Stewardship Program.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
