AN ACT TO ENACT THE "WILLIAM LEWIS LOVETT HUNTER SAFETY ACT"; TO REQUIRE A HUNTER TO USE A LIGHT WHEN LEAVING A HUNTING AREA ON FOOT AFTER LEGAL HUNTING HOURS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  This act shall be known as and may be cited as the "William Lewis Lovett Hunter Safety Act."

     SECTION 2.  Any person who is hunting shall use a light when leaving a hunting area on foot after legal hunting hours.

     SECTION 3.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2004.
