A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING SAMMY H. CLARK UPON HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE MCCOMB SCHOOL DISTRICT.

     WHEREAS, at the end of the 2003-2004 school year, Sammy H. Clark will retire after serving the McComb School District with honor and distinction for 34 years; and

     WHEREAS, after serving as an instructor for six years, Sammy H. Clark was elevated into the administration of the McComb School District and has continued his employment as an administrator for 28 years and presently serves as the Assistant Principal of McComb High School; and

     WHEREAS, he has also served the school district by supporting all school athletic programs and cheerleading activities; and

     WHEREAS, countless McComb and Pike County students have benefited and profited from the wisdom, the counsel and the friendship of Sammy H. Clark; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to commend excellence especially when evidenced by such outstanding educational providers as Mr. Clark, who have dedicated so many years of their lives to developing and cultivating the minds and bodies of the many young Mississippians with whom they have come in contact during their illustrious careers:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend Sammy H. Clark for his meritorious career and upon his retirement from the McComb School District on June 1, 2004.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to Sammy H. Clark and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
