AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF BOLIVAR COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO PAY WILLIE GRIFFIN FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY HIM IN HIS CAPACITY AS A HEARING OFFICER IN CONNECTION WITH AN ELECTION CONTEST HELD IN BOLIVAR COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Bolivar County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to pay Willie Griffin an amount not to exceed One Thousand Six Hundred and Twenty Dollars ($1,620.00) for services rendered by him in his capacity as a hearing officer in connection with an election contest held in Bolivar County after the August 2003 primary election.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
