AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PERRY COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE DURING THE 2004 CALENDAR YEAR TO WE CARE DAY CARE, INC., A NONGOVERNMENTAL COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY, AN AMOUNT DETERMINED BY THE BOARD TO BE USED AS MATCHING FUNDS IN ORDER THAT WE CARE DAY CARE, INC., MAY RECEIVE FUNDS FROM THE STATE OR FEDERAL GOVERNMENTS AND/OR TO CONTRACT FOR AND FUND THE OPERATION OF ANY HUMAN SERVICES PROGRAM IN PERRY COUNTY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, A RURAL TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Perry County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute during the 2004 calendar year to We Care Day Care, Inc., a nongovernmental community action agency, a sum in an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) to be used as matching funds in order that We Care Day Care, Inc., may receive funds from the state or federal governments and/or to contract for and fund the operation of any human services program in Perry County, including, but not limited to, a rural transportation program.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
