AN ACT TO CREATE A JUDICIAL COLLEGE AT JACKSON STATE UNIVERSITY; TO PROVIDE FOR THE ADMINISTRATION AND SUPPORT OF THE JUDICIAL COLLEGE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Jackson State University shall establish and administer a Judicial College to provide training and continuing education for judges throughout the United States.  The Judicial College shall be located on the main campus of Jackson State University.  The Judicial College shall charge appropriate tuition and fees to defray the costs of the Judicial College.  The Legislature shall appropriate any necessary funds to provide facilities, faculty, equipment, employees and any other necessary support for the Judicial College.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2004.
