AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT ANY PAYCHECK STUB OR OTHER DOCUMENT EVIDENCING PAYMENT OF A STATE EMPLOYEE'S SALARY SHALL INCLUDE AMOUNTS PAID BY THE STATE FOR AN EMPLOYEE'S BENEFIT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Any paycheck stub or other document evidencing payment of a state employee's salary shall include amounts paid by the state's contributions to the employee's Public Employee Retirement System account, social security, health insurance, medicare and any other contributions made by the state for an employee's benefit.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2004.
