AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 41-67-15, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO AUTHORIZE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICTS TO ADOPT ORDINANCES THAT ARE MORE RESTRICTIVE THAN THE PROVISIONS OF THE INDIVIDUAL ON-SITE WASTEWATER DISPOSAL SYSTEM LAW; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Section 41-67-15, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

     41-67-15. Nothing in this chapter shall limit the authority of a municipality, board of supervisors or public utility district to adopt similar ordinances that may be, in whole or in part, more restrictive than this chapter, and in those cases the more restrictive ordinances will govern.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2004.
