AN ACT TO ABOLISH THE TORT OF ALIENATION OF AFFECTION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The tort of alienation of affection is hereby abolished and no action for alienation of affection may be brought in any court in the state.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2004.
