AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Of JEFFERSON DAVIS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO EXPEND A PORTION OF THE OIL AND GAS SEVERANCE TAX REVENUE DISTRIBUTED TO THE COUNTY TO ASSIST IN DEFRAYING THE COST OF PURCHASING GARBAGE TRUCKS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to expend an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) of the oil and gas severance tax revenue distributed to the county pursuant to Sections 27-25-505 and 27-25-705 to assist in defraying the cost of purchasing garbage trucks.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
