AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO DONATE, SELL OR LEASE CERTAIN PROPERTIES ACQUIRED FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The governing authorities of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, in their discretion, may donate, sell or lease any properties acquired by the City of Vicksburg from the federal government through its surplus real property program if such properties are not necessary for the use of the municipal operations or for other municipal functions and are donated, sold or leased in order to attract and find potential developers who will make use of the property for the benefit of the citizens of Vicksburg.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
