AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 73-3-401, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO ELIMINATE THE AUTOMATIC REPEALER ON THE BOARD OF BAR ADMISSIONS, WHICH IS UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE MISSISSIPPI SUPREME COURT AND HAS NO CONNECTION TO THE MISSISSIPPI BAR ASSOCIATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Section 73-3-401, Mississippi Code of 1972, which provides that Sections 73-3-2 through 73-3-59, which create the Board of Bar Admissions and prescribe its duties and powers, and which provide certain regulations regarding the practice of law in this state, will automatically repeal as of December 31, 2003, is repealed.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2003.
