House Resolution 67

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE LIFE AND WORKS OF DONALD H. ANDERSON AND EXPRESSING THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE LEGISLATURE UPON HIS PASSING.

     WHEREAS, Donald H. Anderson was born June 22, 1926, in Wells County, North Dakota, and departed this life on February 2, 2003; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson graduated from Fessenden High School and was an Army and Air Force veteran of World War II; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson was a past commander of the Coahoma Commandry Knights Temple, a life member of the American Legion, past commander of Cooper Yerger Post 28, a member of the Clarksdale Masonic Lodge, York Rite Bodies and Scottish Rite and Shrine, a member, correspondent and Chef de Gar of 40 & 8 Voiture 973, and an active member of the First Presbyterian Church; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson was a retired salesman and purchasing agent for Five Star Manufacturing Company; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Ardyce, two daughters, Joanne and Patricia and two grandchildren; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to pay tribute to men of great character, such as Donald H. Anderson:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we commend the life and works of Donald H. Anderson and express our deepest sympathy upon his passing.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to the family of Donald H. Anderson and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
