House Resolution 54

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING REPRESENTATIVE DAVID LIVINGSTON FOR HIS OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

     WHEREAS, Representative David Livingston has served the citizens of House District 75, which includes Scott, Rankin and Smith Counties, for four years; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Livingston, a native of Morton, graduated from Morton High School and from Mississippi College with a bachelor's degree in business; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Livingston currently serves on the Conservation and Water Resources, Education, Military Affairs, Public Buildings, Grounds and Lands and the State Library Committees; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Livingston is a second generation legislator, succeeding his father, the late Representative Dick Livingston, who served the people of District 75 for 28 years; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Livingston has been lovingly supported in all his endeavors by his family; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Livingston's congenial nature and willingness to serve have had a positive influence on all those who have had the pleasure of working with this highly respected member of the House:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and express our deepest appreciation to Representative David Livingston for his contributions to the legislative process and the people of the State of Mississippi and extend our heartiest wishes for success in all his future endeavors.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Representative David Livingston and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
