House Resolution 53

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING REPRESENTATIVE ANDREW KETCHINGS FOR HIS OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

     WHEREAS, Representative Andrew Ketchings has served the citizens of House District 95, which includes Adams, Amite and Franklin Counties, for eight years; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Ketchings, a native of Natchez, graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in business administration; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Ketchings currently serves on the Banks and Banking, Conservation and Water Resources, Insurance, Oil, Gas and Other Minerals and Universities and Colleges Committees; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Ketchings is an active member of his community through his involvement with the National Rifle Association, Ducks Unlimited, Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of Directors for the Historic Natchez Foundation; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Ketchings has been lovingly supported in all his endeavors by his wife, the former Kay Hammack, and their children, Caroline, Clay and Drew; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Ketchings' friendly nature and willingness to serve have had a positive influence on all those who have had the pleasure of working with this highly respected member of the House:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and express our deepest appreciation to Representative Andrew Ketchings for his contributions to the legislative process and the people of the State of Mississippi and extend our heartiest wishes for success in all his future endeavors.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Representative Ketchings and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
