House Resolution 52

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING REPRESENTATIVE TOMMY HORNE FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

     WHEREAS, Representative Tommy Horne has served the citizens of House District 81, which includes Clarke and Lauderdale Counties, for more than 25 years; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Horne, a resident of Meridian, graduated from the University of Miami, the University of Southern Mississippi and the Mississippi College School of Law; and

     WHEREAS, because of his strong leadership abilities, Representative Horne was appointed as Chairman of the Rules Committee; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Horne currently serves on the Judiciary, Local and Private Legislation, PEER and Ways and Means Committees; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Horne's congenial nature and dedication to serve have had a positive influence on all those who have had the pleasure of working with this highly respected member of the House:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and express our deepest appreciation to Representative Tommy Horne for his contributions to the legislative process and the people of the State of Mississippi and extend our heartiest wishes for success in all his future endeavors.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Representative Tommy Horne and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
