A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE TRINITY EPISCOPAL SCHOOL SAINTS BOYS AND GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING 2002 SEASONS.

     WHEREAS, the Trinity Episcopal School Saints Boys Cross Country Team finished the 2002 season as Class A State Cross Country Champions; and

     WHEREAS, the Trinity Episcopal School Saints Girls Cross Country Team also performed very well in the state competition this year, finishing fourth place in the Class A State Cross Country race; and

     WHEREAS, several members of the Boys Cross Country Team have been recognized for their hard work, dedication and superior play this season, including the selection of Austin Green, Will Godfrey, Nason Stephens, and Marcus Archer to the All-State Cross Country Team; and

     WHEREAS, several members of the Girls Cross Country Team have been recognized for their hard work, dedication and superior play this season, including the selection of Mallory Archer, Grafton Pritchartt, and Caroline Ketchings to the All-State Cross Country Team; and

     WHEREAS, both cross country teams have been well coached and inspired by Coach Andrew Ketchings, who has broadened their knowledge of the sport and refined their skills of competition; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to recognize and commend excellence, especially when evidenced by the youth of our state, who are its future:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we commend and congratulate the Trinity Episcopal School Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams and Coach Andrew Ketchings for their outstanding 2002 seasons and for displaying tireless devotion to their athletic endeavors.

     BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Trinity Episcopal School and Coach Andrew Ketchings.
