A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION SUSPENDING THE DEADLINES FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE FURTHER CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF HOUSE BILL 829, REGULAR SESSION OF 2003, ENTITLED "AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNOR TO EXECUTE THE INTERSTATE COMPACT FOR ADULT OFFENDER SUPERVISION; TO PRESCRIBE ITS PURPOSE; TO DEFINE CERTAIN TERMS; TO ESTABLISH THE COMPACT COMMISSION AND PRESCRIBE ITS POWERS AND DUTIES; TO CREATE A STATE COUNCIL FOR INTERSTATE ADULT OFFENDER SUPERVISION AND PRESCRIBE ITS POWERS AND DUTIES; TO PROVIDE FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND OPERATION OF THE INTERSTATE COMMISSION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."

     BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That the Joint Rules of the House and the Senate, including all the deadlines and other provisions imposed by Joint Rule No. 40, are suspended for the purpose of permitting the further consideration and passage of House Bill 829, Regular Session of 2003, entitled "AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNOR TO EXECUTE THE INTERSTATE COMPACT FOR ADULT OFFENDER SUPERVISION; TO PRESCRIBE ITS PURPOSE; TO DEFINE CERTAIN TERMS; TO ESTABLISH THE COMPACT COMMISSION AND PRESCRIBE ITS POWERS AND DUTIES; TO CREATE A STATE COUNCIL FOR INTERSTATE ADULT OFFENDER SUPERVISION AND PRESCRIBE ITS POWERS AND DUTIES; TO PROVIDE FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND OPERATION OF THE INTERSTATE COMMISSION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
