House Bill 1581

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CLAIBORNE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO ESTABLISH THE PATTISON SEWAGE DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF BENEFITING THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF THE CITIZENS OF PATTISON; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Claiborne County, Mississippi, is authorized to establish the Pattison Sewage District based upon the board's finding that a sewage district in Pattison, Mississippi, would benefit the health and well-being of the citizens of Pattison.

     SECTION 2.  The Claiborne County Board of Supervisors has applied to the State of Mississippi for Community Development Block grant funds and to the Rural Development Authority (RDA) for grant funds.  The RDA funds are available but require the creation of the sewage district.

     SECTION 3.  The Pattison Sewage District shall be activated by resolution duly adopted and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors of Claiborne County, Mississippi.  The district shall be composed of the following area:

     "Beginning at the northwest corner of the northeast 1/4 of    Section 54, T11N, R3E; thence run north 0.5 miles; thence run    east 1.0 mile; thence run south 0.5 miles to the northeast   corner of the northwest 1/4 of Section 55; thence run south     0.5 miles along the east line of the northwest 1/4 of Section 55 to the southeast corner of the northwest 1/4 of Section     55; thence run west 0.5 miles along the south line of the northwest 1/4 of Section 55, thence run west 0.5 miles along     the south line of the northeast 1/4 of Section 54:  Thence    run north 0.5 miles along the west line of the northeast 1/4   of Section 54 to the Point of Beginning; all being situated     in Claiborne County, Mississippi."

     SECTION 4.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
