     AMEND by inserting the following after the period on line 85:

Whenever punitive damages have been awarded in a legal proceeding against a defendant for a specific wrongful act or omission, additional punitive damages may not be awarded against the same defendant in any legal proceeding in this state based upon the same specific wrongful act or omission.
