Senate Resolution 35

A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING THE ARMY-NAVY CLUB OF WARREN COUNTY UPON THE OCCASION OF ITS 65TH ANNIVERSARY.

WHEREAS, the Army-Navy Club of Warren County celebrated its 65th Anniversary on November 7, 2002; and

WHEREAS, the members of the Army-Navy Club perpetuate the value of service to the nation; and

WHEREAS the Army-Navy Club fosters the well-being and camaraderie of its members; and

WHEREAS, the Army-Navy Club is rich in tradition but informal with its fellowship being governed by a Roberts Rules of Order encircled with a metal band welded together and lighthearted traditions such as the minutes of the previous meetings never being read in its entire 65 years; and

WHEREAS, at its 65th Anniversary celebration, the Club honored the four surviving Charter members: Frank J. Pajerski, Thomas E. Murphy, Bart W. LaHatte and John J. Franco; and

WHEREAS, the club is composed of those who served our country, sharing good food and fellowship and the value of personal self-sacrifice in service to our nation:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby congratulate the Army-Navy Club upon the occasion of its 65th Anniversary.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to the Army-Navy Club of Warren County.
