Senate Resolution 10

A RESOLUTION COMMEMORATING THE ANNIVERSARY OF SEPTEMBER 11, 2001, AND HONORING THOSE COURAGEOUS AMERICANS LOST ON THAT FATEFUL DAY AND THEIR LEGACY OF RENEWED SPIRIT OF FREEDOM.

     WHEREAS, on September 11, 2001, the world witnessed a terroristic act of evil that killed over 3,000 Americans; and

     WHEREAS, in New York City, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., the world witnessed the unflinching resolve of free men and women in the face of this horrific attack; and

     WHEREAS, the world witnessed policemen, firemen, emergency technicians, flight crews and citizens, all in ordinary walks of life, but all extraordinary in their acts of courage and sacrifice in the aid of others; and

     WHEREAS, from the lives and deeds of these courageous American men and women, the world witnessed a renewed spirit of freedom roll from sea to shining sea and beyond:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we commemorate the anniversary of September 11, 2001, and honor those courageous Americans lost on that fateful day and their deeds and lives that gave birth to a renewed spirit of freedom.
