AMENDMENT No. 3 PROPOSED TO

                             Senate Bill NO. 2189

                             By Senator(s) Chaney

     AMEND by striking lines 1688 through 1698 and by inserting the following in lieu:

     The State Department of Health, on or before July 1, 2002, shall transfer the certificate of need authorized under the authority of this paragraph (b), or reissue the certificate of need in the event that it has expired, to River Region Health System.

     FURTHER, amend the title by inserting the following after the semicolon on line 29.

TO AMEND SECTION 41-7-191, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO DIRECT THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO TRANSFER A CERTAIN CERTIFICATE OF NEED AUTHORIZING PSYCHIATRIC RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT FACILITY BEDS IN WARREN COUNTY;
