Senate Resolution 57

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE INGOMAR HIGH SCHOOL "FALCONS" BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM FOR ITS EXCELLENT 2000-2001 SEASON.

WHEREAS, the Ingomar High School "Falcons" Boys Basketball Team completed the 2000-2001 season with an excellent record of 36 wins and only 2 losses; and

WHEREAS, the Falcons made major accomplishments in tournament play: Myrtle Tournament Champions, Union County Tournament Champions, Division 2-IA Tournament Champions, North State IA Champions and State IA Tournament Champions; and

WHEREAS, individual team members are as follows: Tim Magill, Michael Dixon, Reggie Siddell, Howard Hunt, Michael Seger, Jerome Jones, Brandon Tillery, Shawn McDonald, Bernard Knight, Lewis Keys, Justin Williams and Chance Taylor; and

WHEREAS, Head Coach Norris Ashley and Assistant Coach Jonathan Ashley emphasized basic basketball skills and instilled a winning team spirit in the Falcons; and

WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize the accomplishments of these student athletes, who have brought honor to their school, their community and to the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Ingomar High School "Falcons" Boys Basketball Team and Coach Ashley for their excellent 2000-2001 season, and wish them continued success in their athletic and academic endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to Coach Ashley on behalf of the entire Ingomar High School Boys Basketball Team, and be made available to the Principal of Ingomar High School, and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
