AN ACT MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FROM THE STATE GENERAL FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF THE STATE TAX COMMISSION, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1.  In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of defraying the expenses of the State Tax Commission for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2002. $   42,000.00.

     SECTION 2.  This additional appropriation is made for the purpose of defraying the expenses of the State Tax Commission resulting from the hiring of temporary workers needed to staff the Alcoholic Beverage Control Warehouse during the holiday seasons of fiscal year 2002.

     SECTION 3.  The money herein appropriated shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the proper fund or funds as set forth in this act, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.

     SECTION 4.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
