AN ACT TO DIRECT THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS TO CANCEL THE CONTRACT FOR MEDICAL SERVICES WITH THE UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Department of Corrections is directed to cancel its contract for medical services with the University Medical Center on July 1, 2002, or on the renewal date, whichever is the earliest.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
