AN ACT TO DIRECT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO USE ALL LEGAL MEANS TO DETERMINE THE REAL, CERTAIN AND TRUE BOUNDARY SOUTH OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI AND NORTH OF THE SOUTHEAST PORTION OF THE STATE OF LOUISIANA AND TO USE REMOTE SENSING TECHNOLOGY TO DETERMINE THE TRUE THALWEG OF THE PEARL RIVER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Attorney General is hereby directed to use all legal means to determine the real, certain and true boundary south of the State of Mississippi and north of the southeast portion of the State of Louisiana.  The Attorney General is authorized to contract for remote sensing technology to determine the true thalweg of the Pearl River in the Gulf of Mexico.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2002.
