House Resolution 70

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING DANNY AND LINDA TRUSTY FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AT THE MISSISSIPPI HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES 2002 CHAIRMAN'S ROAST.

WHEREAS, Danny and Linda Trusty, of the group, "The Trustys of Davo Crossing," performed for the Mississippi House of Representatives at the 2002 Chairman's Roast on March 27, 2002; and

WHEREAS, residents of Tylertown, Mississippi, the husband and wife duo collaborated and first began their performing act approximately four years ago; and

WHEREAS, Danny and Linda make for a winning combination on stage, bringing forth a repertoire of contemporary country music along with a tactical and comical twist of barnyard humor; and

WHEREAS, Danny, a professional banker with Trustmark National Bank, and Linda, a teacher with the Walthall County School District, received rave reviews of their spectacular performance for the members of the Mississippi House of Representatives; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives of the State of Mississippi to recognize and commend such notable and distinguished individuals as "The Trustys of Davo Crossing" duo for their exceptional display of talent:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Danny and Linda Trusty for an outstanding performance at the Mississippi House of Representatives 2002 Chairman's Roast.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Danny and Linda Trusty and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
